Add your wallet

Payouts go to a Bitcoin address that you own and control. Superheat does not hold coins for you beyond the balance waiting to be paid out, and it cannot create a wallet on your behalf. Until you link an address, rewards keep accumulating in your balance and no payout can be sent.

You need one address, and you can change it whenever you want.

Adding an address

You can start from either place:

• On the Wallet tab, tap Add Wallet on the Balance card.
• On Balance Overview, tap the Wallet row.

Either one opens the Add Your Wallet window.

1. Copy the receiving address from your wallet app or exchange.
2. Tap Paste, or tap the address area and type it in. Once the field has something in it, a Clear button appears next to Paste and empties it again.
3. Check the address on screen against the one in your wallet, character by character.
4. Tap Connect.

A confirmation appears reading "Your wallet connected", and the address shows up on the Balance card and in the Wallet row from then on.

Bitcoin payments cannot be reversed or recalled. If you link an address that belongs to someone else, or an address with a typo that still happens to be valid, the payout is gone and neither Superheat nor anyone else can retrieve it. Verify the address before you tap Connect, and make sure you can access the wallet it belongs to.

Which addresses work

Mainnet Bitcoin addresses only. All four common formats are accepted.

Anything else is rejected, including test network addresses, Lightning invoices, and addresses for other coins. The app checks what is in the field as you type, and the Connect button stays dimmed and unavailable until the address is a valid mainnet Bitcoin address. There is no separate error message to dismiss: if Connect will not activate, what is in the field is not an address the app accepts.

Two things the field does on its own, both harmless:

• Spaces, line breaks and punctuation are stripped out as you paste or type, so a copied address that picked up a stray space still works.
• Addresses that begin with bc1 are saved in lowercase. That does not change the address.

Any wallet app, hardware wallet or exchange account that gives you a Bitcoin receiving address will work. If you use a deposit address from an exchange, check that the exchange accepts small Bitcoin deposits, since a monthly payout can be a fraction of a coin.

How the address is displayed afterward

Once linked, the address is shortened almost everywhere it appears: the first six characters, then an ellipsis, then the last six. You will see it that way on the Balance card, in the Wallet row, in your payout history and in the Payout Details drawer.

The one place the full address is still visible is the Edit Your Wallet window, where the current address is loaded into the field so you can read or replace it.

The shortened form is enough to confirm which wallet you are pointed at, but it is not enough to catch a typo in the middle. Check the whole address before you connect it.

Changing the address

1. Open the Wallet tab and tap the Balance card.
2. Tap the Wallet row. It opens as Edit Your Wallet. The shortened address is printed under the title, and the full one is filled into the field below it.
3. Tap Paste to replace it with a new address, or Clear and enter one.
4. Tap Update. A confirmation reads "Wallet updated".

The Update button stays unavailable until the address in the field is both valid and different from the one already linked.

Changing the address does not move your balance or affect your earnings history. Everything credited so far stays in your balance, and the next payout goes to the new address.

Unlinking

If you are closing the wallet you were using, remove it rather than leaving payouts pointed at an address you no longer control.

1. Open Edit Your Wallet as above.
2. Under "Don't use this wallet anymore?", tap Unlink Wallet.
3. The app asks "Unlink Wallet?" and explains that the wallet will be disconnected from your account. Tap Unlink to confirm, or Cancel to keep it.

A confirmation reads "Wallet unlinked", and the Balance card goes back to showing Add Wallet.

With no wallet linked, payouts cannot run. Your rewards keep accruing and your balance keeps growing, but nothing leaves the account until you add an address again. If you unlink one wallet, link the next one right away.

One address at a time

The app manages a single payout address. Adding a new one through Edit Your Wallet replaces the previous one rather than adding a second destination, and payouts are never split across addresses.
