Temperature

Your H1C heats water toward a target temperature. The app shows you what the water is right now, and lets you choose between two targets.

Open the controls

  1. Open the Home tab.
  2. If you own more than one heater, tap the name at the top of the screen and choose the one you want.
  3. Tap Controls.

The page that opens is titled Device Control.

Current temperature

Current temperature at the top of Device Control is the most recent water temperature your heater reported. It is a reading, not a setting, so there is nothing to tap. The same number appears on the Home tab, under the label Current, beside the Controls button.

If your heater is offline, the number is the last value it managed to send before it stopped reporting. See Status and alerts.

The two target temperatures

Under Target temperature there are exactly two choices. There is no slider, no dial, and no value in between.

TargetShown when your unit is CelsiusShown when your unit is Fahrenheit
Lower50°C122°F
Higher60°C140°F

Tap a tile to select it. The selected tile is filled orange. Selecting a tile does not change anything yet — the heater keeps its old target until you apply the change.

Your heater always stores the target in Celsius. Fahrenheit is a display conversion only, so switching units in Preferences changes what you read, never how hot the water gets.

Applying a change

Apply Changes at the bottom of the screen stays dimmed until the selected target differs from the one your heater is using. Once it is active:

  1. Tap Apply Changes.
  2. A dialog appears, titled Restart Device, with the message "Applying the new settings will restart your device."
  3. Tap Restart to send the new target, or Cancel to leave the setting as it was.

Nothing reaches your heater until you tap Restart. When the change goes through, the app confirms with New settings updated.

warning

Applying a new target temperature restarts your heater. Hot water and mining both stop for the length of the restart. Pick a moment when nobody is about to run a shower or a bath.

Leaving without applying

If you go back while a different target is selected but not applied, the app stops you with Changes Not Applied and the message "Your changes won't be applied if you leave now."

  • Cancel keeps you on the page so you can tap Apply Changes.
  • Leave discards the selection and takes you back. Nothing was sent, so your heater keeps the target it already had.

The Mode section

Below the temperature controls is a section labeled Mode (coming soon). The Normal and Smart tiles show what is planned for a future release. They do not respond to taps, and there is nothing to set there today.

What the app does not control

The target temperature is the only heating setting you can change. There is no on/off switch and no restart button in the app; your heater manages its own heating.
