Create your account
There is no separate sign-up step. Signing in with an email address the app has not seen before creates your account at the same moment. Nothing to fill out, no password to invent.
Two ways to sign in
Open the app. The first screen shows the Superheat logo, the line "Smart heating, smarter savings.", a photo of the heater, and two buttons.
There is no password anywhere in the app, on either route.
Login with Google
Tap Login with Google. A browser sheet opens and asks which Google account you want to use. Choose one, approve the sign-in, and the sheet closes and returns you to the app already signed in.
If you close the sheet before finishing, nothing happens and you stay on the login screen. Tap the button again to start over.
Login with email
- Tap Login with email.
- Type your address into Enter email address. The Next button stays dim until the address looks like a real one.
- Tap Next. The screen changes to Check your email and shows the address the code was sent to.
- Superheat emails you a 6-digit code. Type it into the six boxes.
- The app checks the code the moment the sixth digit lands. There is no confirm button to press.
A few things that can happen along the way:

| The code has not arrived | Check your spam folder, then tap Resend next to "Didn't get a code?". |
| Incorrect verification code | The code was mistyped or has expired. Tap OK, and the boxes clear so you can type it again. |
| You mistyped the address | Use the back arrow at the top of the screen to return to the email step. |
Once the code is accepted, the app opens on the Home tab.
Set the units you want to see
Two settings decide how the app displays numbers: the temperature unit and the currency. Open the Setting tab, tap More Settings, and look under Preferences.

Region
Region is a separate field, on Setting > Profile > Region, with three choices: US, Canada and EU.
It does less than the name suggests. Region seeds a temperature unit and a currency once — when your settings are first written, on your first sign-in — using this mapping:

After that first write, region is a label on your profile. Setting or changing it later does not change the temperature unit or the currency the app shows you, so set those two yourself under More Settings.
Your name and email address live on the same Profile screen. See Profile for how to change either.
Before you pair a heater
With an account but no heater yet, the app is mostly empty on purpose:
- Home shows a picture of the heater and a Connect Device row reading "Enable more smart controls".
- Wallet shows "Connect your device to start earning" and a Connect Device button.
- Setting works normally.
Both Connect Device buttons open the same pairing flow. Head to Pair your heater next.
Signing out
Open the Setting tab, scroll to the bottom, and tap Log Out. Confirm at "Log out of your account?" by tapping Log out.
Signing out does not unpair your heater and does not affect your balance. Signing back in with the same email address or the same Google account returns everything to where it was.
